Marmaris Ephesus Tour is an excellent opportunity to visit this colossal ancient city during your stay in Marmaris.
We will leave Marmaris in the morning around 6.00am and slightly later for Icmeler, our first stop will be in Mugla for buffet style Turkish breakfast which includes boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, olives, butter, honey, jams and beautiful fresh Turkish bread. Drinks available are tea or coffee this is all included in the price of your trip.
A long drive awaits you after breakfast around 3 hours to Ephesus. You will be in a modern air conditioned coach so it will be a pleasant journey. We will stop at Selcuk for a 30 minute refreshment break, long enough to use the toilets and grab a cool drink or refreshment and time to stretch your legs.
We plan to spend around 2 hours in the city of Ephesus. During the Tour you can walk through the remains of Ephesus with your guide. Your guide will have a vast knowledge to share with you and interesting stories of the past history, ancient architecture, and the mythology of Ephesus. Don’t worry that this will be a constant walking tour, there are many shady spots for you to take a rest and plenty opportunities for you to take photos.
Many cold starters and a wide range of main courses are available for lunch which will be buffet style and served in a nearby restaurant vegetarians are also catered for, Sweets, fruits & fresh Turkish bread are also included.
Drinks are charged separately and are not included in the tour price.
After the visit to Ephesus and lunch in Selcuk, you will be able to spend some free time on your own doing what you like. During that hour, you can either relax in a local café or explore historical sites in the town. Choose from the archaeological museum, the Temple of Artemis or The House of the Virgin Mary. Your tour guide will give you information on each of these.
Return to Marmaris
We expect to arrive back to Marmaris at about 7.00pm and we will take you back to your hotel, a long day but very worth it.
